Position Title: IT Project Manager
Employee Status: Contract

Purpose:
Our Client is seeking a Software QA Manager to lead Automation QA teams. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing and mentoring a team of Automation QA Engineers, driving the development and execution of automated testing frameworks, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality software products. This role requires a strong technical background in software testing, expertise in automation tools and methodologies, and excellent leadership skills.
Responsibilities:
Project Planning and Management: Define project scope and schedule with a focus on regular and timely value delivery; organize and lead project status and working meetings; prepare and distribute progress reports; manage risks and issues; correct deviations from plans; and perform delivery planning and operational readiness for assigned projects. (Senior/Expert level may manage complex, highly visible projects requiring significant oversight.)
Project Team Management: Assist in team development while holding teams accountable for commitments; remove roadblocks; leverage organizational resources to improve project capacity; mentor and develop team members; facilitate efficient resource use across projects and monitor trends for strategic alignment.
Product Owner Support: Support the Product Owner in managing customer expectations for project deliverables, stakeholder communications, and effective project governance.
Communication and Documentation: Keep stakeholders informed, resolve issues, and maintain project documentation using project management tools.
Leadership: Promote team empowerment, ensuring full engagement and understanding of individual contributions and motivation.
Vendor Management: Monitor and report on vendor performance metrics; drive vendor delivery against contract deliverables.
Work Requirements, Experience, Education, and Skills:
Bachelor's degree or higher
At least 7 years of medium to large-scale project experience in a project management or similar role
At least 7 to 10 years of strong experience with project or program planning, resource planning, work plan development, and project management processes
Preferred Credentials and Experience:
PMP certification
Demonstrated prior experience with blended methodologies at the enterprise-level of an organization
Experience working within the public sector, specifically health and human services agencies
Organizational change management experience
