Job Description
The YWCA Greater Harrisburg is seeking an experienced supervisor/leader motivated to transform the lives of survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, and human trafficking. The Direct Services Supervisor offers an exciting opportunity for a proven leader who seeks a sense of purpose and meaning to advance the YWCA's vision of creating just communities while working for a cause greater than oneself.
Position Details:
Hours: M-F 8am to 4pm
Salary : $58,000/yr
Key Responsibilities:
Support and guide department staff through daily work activities and projects.
Monitor and assess employee performance to ensure maximum productivity; identifying and addressing areas that need improvement to ensure that goals, deadlines, and performance standards are met.
Monitor and evaluate the quality of services provided to survivors to ensure employee performance and services are provided in alignment with standards and regulations.
Support staff through routine and continuous feedback, monthly supervision, and case review opportunities.
Create and manage crisis schedules to ensure 24-hour coverage of department services.
Develop staff through training and skill development opportunities.
Document employee performance for positive recognition and areas of improvement.
Collect and record service data and submit reports as required.
Provide support for crisis services including hotline, crisis intervention, accompaniments, information & referrals, intakes, and other services as may be required.
Attend community and state coalition meetings related to domestic violence and sexual assault.
Perform on-call supervisory responsibilities as assigned including overnight shifts, weekends, and holidays.
Position Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in human services or related field OR Associate's degree with at least 2 years' experience in a management role or in a crisis-related organization
Previous experience in a supervisor role managing staff performance a MUST
Advanced verbal and written communication skills, along with developed emotional intelligence
Demonstrated knowledge and application of leadership skills
Strong organizational skills with distinct attention to detail
Ability to resolve complaints and issues while maintaining a professional and calm disposition
Ability to multi-task, adapt and be flexible based on the demands of a rapidly changing environment
Proficient to advanced computer skills
Ability to obtain Child Abuse, State Police, and FBI clearances
Knowledge of Dauphin County community resources a PLUS
