CNC Machinist/Programmer - Full Time

Bachman Machine Company is seeking a full-time CNC Machinist/Programmer to join our growing team!
This role carries a significant focus on programming, with approximately 75% of time dedicated to CNC programming and 25% to hands-on machining. The primary responsibility will be importing drawings and models into Mastercam and creating machining programs that efficiently utilize available resources-equipment, tooling, clamping, and fixturing-to produce high-quality parts. This includes both one-off specialty die components and high-volume production parts, with machining execution typically handled by a team member based on the programmer's output.

Key Responsibilities & Experience
Import 2D drawings and 3D models into Mastercam to generate efficient CNC programs
Design programs that optimize tooling, equipment, clamping, and machining time
Program, set up, and operate CNC milling and turning machines as needed
Interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and technical specifications
Inspect parts to ensure accuracy and conformance to design
Collaborate effectively with engineering, customers, and management to meet quality and delivery goals
Demonstrate strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
Support continuous improvement and process optimization initiatives
Preferred Experience & Skills:
Proficiency in Mastercam for CNC programming
Familiarity with SolidWorks for reviewing and translating CAD files
Experience with Fanuc controls
Proficient in Microsoft Office tools including Outlook, Excel, and Word
