!CLAREMORE STEEL COMPANY LOOKING FOR A QUALIFIED QA INSPECTOR!

Job Summary:

Assist the Quality Manager and QA/QC Team Lead implementation of all company's policies, procedures, and activities involved in assuring the quality of manufactured products.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Communicate with the QC Supervisor/Manager to determine the specific requirements of a given work order, including the scope of work, deliverables, schedule, for different projects.

Provide guidance and training to existing and new hired inspectors.

Interpreting blueprints and execute dimensional, visual and NDT inspections using different gages and/or inspection equipment..

Monitor the mechanical and electrical condition of the equipment and reporting operational or maintenance problems to supervision.

Supervise multiple quality processes throughout the plant.

Recommends changes to improve quality and reduce cost.

Maintains safe and clean work environment by educating and directing personnel on the use of all control points, equipment, and resources; maintaining compliance with established policies and procedures.

Verify calibrations of all inspection equipment as required by AWS, customer specifications and internal procedures.

Develop and maintain work procedures as required.

Ability to multi-task and properly execute multiple simultaneous assignments without sacrificing efficiency or quality of the work.

Team player willing to work with QC/Production personnel, office personnel, field staff, auditors, visitors, etc.

Perform other duties as required.

Skills Required:

Good communication skills.

Ability to read shop fabrication drawings and interpret weld symbols.

Ability to train inspection personnel.

Possess at a minimum ASNT NDT Level 2 Certificates in UT methods.

AWS CWI certification preferred

Qualifications:

Two to five years prior experience working in production or five to seven years inspection experience at a manufacturing facility.

Shift:

Days - OT as needed

Pay:

DOE $25-30/hr
