Job Title: Material Handler – 1st/2nd Shift

Location: Hudsonville, MI

Job Summary:

Talent Strategy is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Material Handler to join our team on 1st/2nd shift. The Material Handler will be responsible for the efficient movement of materials, products, and supplies within the warehouse and production areas. This role is essential to maintaining accurate inventory and supporting production by ensuring materials are properly organized and readily available.

Key Responsibilities:

Safely transport materials, supplies, and finished goods between departments using forklifts, pallet jacks, or other necessary equipment.

Receive and unload incoming shipments, verifying materials against purchase orders and updating inventory systems accordingly.

Prepare and stage materials for production shifts to ensure smooth operations and prevent delays.

Store materials and products in designated areas following safety and organizational guidelines.

Monitor inventory levels and assist with stock rotation to avoid shortages or overstock.

Assist with the loading and unloading of raw materials, packaging supplies, and finished products.

Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring compliance with safety and food safety regulations.

Perform daily equipment inspections to ensure forklifts and other tools are in proper working condition.

Report any equipment malfunctions or safety hazards to the supervisor promptly.

Ensure all products are handled and stored securely to prevent damage or contamination.

Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet production goals and deadlines.

Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications:

Previous experience as a Material Handler

Ability to regularly lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Strong attention to detail with a focus on safety and quality.

Good communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment.

Comfortable working in cold environments (temperature-controlled areas).

Dependable, punctual, and a strong work ethic.

Pay Range:

$19-22 per hour, depending on experience.
