Step into the role of Site Administrative Technician and become the essential link that keeps operations running smoothly at regional wind farms like. This role combines the fast-paced world of logistics and operations with the chance to collaborate across departments in one of the most exciting sectors—renewable energy.
Are You Looking To:
Supporting tooling and spare parts logistics to ensure teams have what they need, when they need it?
Assisting technicians with service orders, timesheets, and expense tracking?
Compiling weekly reports and helping facilitate team meetings at multiple intervals (weekly, monthly, quarterly)?
Embracing digital tools to manage records, approvals, and documentation workflows?
Pitching in on mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic system support across wind sites?
Completing work order cards, safety checklists, and accurate documentation?
Identify wind turbine error codes and report issues to keep operations optimized?
Jumping in wherever support is needed on-site, including high-voltage maintenance assistance?
Are You Ready To:
Follow all internal procedures, company policies, and customer site protocols.
Manage and maintain organized inventory systems for the wind farm's tooling and parts.
Communicate clearly and professionally with both internal team members and external partners.
Stay one step ahead by anticipating the Site Manager’s needs and offering proactive support.
Take the lead on routine preventive maintenance and unscheduled repairs for wind turbines—leveraging your skills in mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues during unplanned maintenance.
Uphold the highest standards of safety, cleanliness, and compliance with company expectations.
Support or lead the removal and installation of critical wind turbine components including mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic parts.
What You’ll Need:
High School Diploma or GED. Associates Degree is a bonus, but not required.
2+ years’ experience as a Wind Turbine Technician
Valid Driver’s License
Ability to read and interpret documents, and follow instructions, such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedures manuals.
Ability to work with minimal supervision, given proper instructions.
Ability to deal with problems involving at least one concrete variable in standardized situations.
Must be able to pass a physical exam and drug/alcohol screening.
The employee must be capable of lifting and/or moving up to 100 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus because of potential work in close confines.
Employee must be physically fit enough to free climb 300 ft multiple times a day while wearing 25+ lbs. of climbing gear and work in extreme weather conditions.
Must be capable of rescuing team mate anywhere in tower in the event of emergency.
We care about the safety and wellbeing of every one of our employees. To help ensure their safety, any employees climbing a wind turbine must use a Personal Fall Arrest System, and may not exceed the system’s maximum weight capacity of 309 lbs. This weight must include the individual, their tooling, uniform, and personal protective equipment. Based on these safety requirements and the standard weight of equipment, employees who climb wind turbines may not exceed a maximum personal body weight of 260 lbs.
