Overhead Crane/Kettle Operator

Location: Harrisburg, NC

Pay Rate: $18/hour + $1 shift differential

Shift: Sunday to Thursday: 11:00 p.m. – 7:00 a.m.

Job Description:

This position involves operating overhead cranes and managing kettles in a manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate is reliable, safety-focused, and capable of performing physical tasks in outdoor conditions.

Key Responsibilities:

Operate overhead cranes to lift, move, and position materials.

Monitor and maintain kettle temperatures, ensuring safety and product quality.

Work outdoors in various weather conditions to complete required tasks.

Maintain a clean and safe workspace, following company safety guidelines.

Work Environment:

This is a challenging industrial environment. Please be prepared for the following conditions:

Very hot temperatures due to the nature of the work.

Outdoor work, exposed to various weather conditions.

Exposure to fumes, dust, and dirt.

The need for personal protective equipment (PPE) to ensure safety.

Qualifications:

4 years of experience with overhead crane operations

Ability to work the scheduled night shift (11:00 p.m. – 7:00 a.m., Sunday to Thursday).

Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions.

Physically capable of handling heat and performing hands-on tasks in a dusty environment.

Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
