PMR Healthcare is looking for a PRN Medical Assistant to provide Primary Care and Occupational Healthcare to our client, their employees, and families in multi-specialty clinics Located in Located in Boise, Idaho.

Job Responsibilities:

Welcome, check in/out patients by greeting them, in person or on the telephone; answering or referring inquiries.

Prepare patients for the health care visit by accompanying them to the lab and examining room; providing examination gowns and drapes; helping them to position themselves for the examination and/or treatment; arranging examining room instruments, supplies, and equipment.

Verify patient information by interviewing patient; reviewing and/or recording medical history; taking vital signs; confirming purpose of visit or treatment.

Supports patient care delivery by helping health care providers during examinations; preparing laboratory specimens; performing basic laboratory tests on the premises; prepare fit test, disposing of contaminated supplies; administering and dispensing medications on the premises; authorizing drug refills as directed; telephoning prescriptions to pharmacies; drawing blood; taking electrocardiograms; performing Spirometry, EKG, Visual Acuity, removing sutures; changing dressings.

Complete documentation specified by PMR Healthcare and the client.

Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by following and enforcing standards and procedures, as well as complying with legal regulations.

Update professional knowledge by maintaining certification(s) and staying up to date with latest technical publications.

Hiring Requirements:

Certified Medical Assistant.

2-3 years of work experience in your profession.

2 years of phlebotomy/blood drawing skills/experience.

Computer (Microsoft Office) skills.

Current BLS and licensure in your area of expertise.

Electronic Medical Record Experience.

Front office skills and/or willingness to learn.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Ability to perform duties with little supervision.

Desired Skills and Qualifications:

Good team player.Understands the chain of command: who to go to, how to ask questions, how to inform others, and how to address issues.

Independent. Works with little supervision. Comfortable multi-tasking, managing your own time, and communicating with the offsite clinic director.

Interpersonal Skills. Good at answering questions and addressing concerns. Able to speak calmly to potentially stressed employees during onsite testing.

Training and Support

PMR employees will receive any necessary site-specific training, ongoing support, and medical direction from PMR Healthcare.
