Logistics Coordinator

Chiquita Canyon Landfill, a Waste Connections company, is looking for a

Logistics & Compliance Coordinator to join the team in Castaic, CA!

The schedule will be Monday through Friday on-site, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm with minimal remote work on Saturdays.

Salary: $95k-$105k

Bonus: 10%

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Track the location and transfers of the landfill liquids

Work directly with our trucking vendors to collect manifests and confirm the destinations of their loads

Coordinate with disposal facilities for daily disposal of liquids.

Inspect Tanks and Tank Farm daily.

Maintain database for all manifests related to liquids transport on site and leaving landfill

Work with Compliance Manager on other projects as needed

WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL EFFORT:

Work involves constant exposure to unusual elements, such as extreme temperatures, dirt, dust, odors, and/or loud noises

Moderate physical activity, such as walking up and down hills, climbing stairs and lifting up to 25 pounds.

Work environment involves some exposure to hazards or physical risks, which require following basic safety precautions and training

MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS:

Ability to adhere to Company policies and rules that are set forth; promotes the Company’s safety standards; work with a sense of honesty, integrity and trustworthiness

Experience working in logistics and with hazardous waste is highly desirable

Ability to adhere to work schedule, take initiative, and follow through on challenges as they arise

Minimum 1 year of experience that is directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified

Great attention to detail and organizational skills is required

Ability to effectively communicate with vendors, customers, and other employees

Basic computer skills. Knowledge in Excel is required
