Planner/Scheduler

Machine Shop in Temecula is looking for a Production Planner to join their team!

Key Responsibilities: Schedule Creation and Management: Develop and maintain production schedules for various machines and work centers.

Analyze production requirements and capacity to create realistic and efficient schedules.

Prioritize jobs based on due dates and customer requirements.

Resource Allocation: Ensure that necessary materials, tools, and equipment are available for each job.

Coordinate with purchasing and other departments to ensure material availability.

Allocate labor resources effectively to meet production demands.

Communication and Coordination: Communicate schedules and updates to shop floor personnel and other relevant departments.

Collaborate with engineers, quality control, and sales teams to address any issues and ensure a smooth production flow.

Provide regular reports on production status and potential problems.

Problem Solving and Optimization: Identify and resolve production delays or bottlenecks.

Analyze production data to identify areas for improvement.

Suggest and implement solutions to improve efficiency and reduce costs.

Data Management and Documentation: Maintain accurate records of production schedules, work orders, and material availability.

Utilize ERP/MRP systems to track and manage production activities.

Skills and Qualifications: Experience in JobBoss ERP system is highly preferred.

Experience in a machine shop or manufacturing environment.

Knowledge of machining processes and equipment.

Technical Skills: Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.

Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems.

Strong computer skills, especially in spreadsheet software.

Soft Skills: Excellent organizational and time management skills.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

Job Type: Full-time Pay: $27.00 - $29.00 per hour Schedule: 8 hour shift Day shift Work Location: In person
