Pay: $24.00 - $28.00 per hour Schedule: Monday - Friday, 6:30 AM – 3:00 PM + OT Job Type: Full-time Position Overview As a Quality Inspector, you will be responsible for performing detailed inspections of machined parts, assemblies, and materials to verify compliance with customer specifications and industry standards.
You will utilize a variety of inspection tools, including CMM (CMM-Manager and PC-DMIS software), surface plate layout, and precision hand tools.
This role requires strong attention to detail, the ability to interpret complex blueprints, and experience with AS9102 First Article Inspection Reports (FAIRs). Responsibilities Perform First Article (AS9102), In-Process, Receiving, and Final Inspections of precision aerospace components Conduct CMM inspections using CMM-Manager and PC-DMIS to verify part dimensions and tolerances Utilize surface plate layout inspection methods and precision hand tools to ensure part accuracy Read and interpret complex engineering drawings, including GD&T and ANSI/ASME Y14.5 standards Document non-conformances and work closely with engineering and production teams to resolve quality issues Ensure compliance with AS9100 quality management system requirements Perform gage calibration and set up inspection equipment to support manufacturing operations Maintain accurate inspection records and complete FAIR documentation Assist with continuous improvement initiatives to enhance quality and efficiency in the inspection process Qualifications Minimum 5 years of experience as a Quality Inspector in an aerospace CNC machining environment Proficient in using CMM machines (CMM-Manager and PC-DMIS preferred) Strong understanding of AS9100 requirements, GD&T, and ANSI drawing standards Experience performing AS9102 First Article Inspections Ability to use a variety of precision measurement tools, including micrometers, calipers, dial bores, depth gauges, and optical comparators Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word for documentation and reporting Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced, high-precision production environment Experience in a CNC machining environment with knowledge of aerospace materials and manufacturing processes preferred Additional Information Overtime may be required based on production needs This role requires the ability to stand for extended periods and perform inspections in both office and shop floor environments Job Types: Full-time, Temp-to-hire Pay: $24.00 - $28.00 per hour Expected hours: 40 per week Schedule: 8 hour shift Day shift Ability to Commute: Temecula, CA 92591 (Required) Work Location: In person
