Summary

The Product Manager is strategic, data-driven, and customer-centric role that will be responsible for defining product vision, building roadmaps, and delivering features that solve customer problems and align with business goals. The Product Manager will be responsible for stakeholder engagement and backlog prioritization in coordination with cross-functional teams. The ideal candidate will bring a balance of strategic thinking and tactical execution, ensuring alignment with firm-wide initiatives. Duties and Responsibilities

Define and oversee the product strategy and roadmap of data products for the Finance function, translating the product vision into executable initiatives that drive business growth and the firm's strategic priorities.

Analyze business issues & strategic changes. Outline data and reporting implications and create recommendations and plans for necessary evolution, changes, etc.

Partner with stakeholders to translate reporting and data needs into insightful digital solutions with technical requirements.

Work with various Data & AI Teams to iterate through requirements, and agile development process to deliver digital solutions that meet business and lawyer needs while optimizing technology and development resources.

Lead product lifecycle from concept through launch and iteration.

Collaborate with other Product Managers to prioritize product backlog, maintain, rationalize, and optimize the inventory of reports, dashboards, and visualizations on behalf of stakeholders.

Communicate product updates and decisions to relevant stakeholders ensuring alignment on product direction.

Collaborate across teams to ensure a single view of the Finance program/portfolio.

Providing meaningful input to Data Governance program ensuring strategic use of Finance data is cataloged.

Act as a team member who can play multiple positions effectively, serving as a versatile and reliable backup for teams on the ground as well as senior-level stakeholders.

Salaries vary by location and are based on numerous factors, including, but not limited to, the relevant market, skills, experience, and education of the selected candidate. If an estimated salary range for this role is available, it will be provided in our Target Salary Range section. $144,700 to $155,000 if located in Illinois

Qualifications

Education and/or Experience

Required:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Computer Science or related field

A minimum of 10 years financial reporting & analysis experience

Proven ability to learn new technical applications quickly

Experience managing a team tasked with balancing a variety of perspectives and interests

Strong understanding of accounting business processes, including uses of data and reporting outcomes

Proven ability to lead cross-enterprise work streams and develop high-performing teams

Experience with Accounting systems and process/concepts

Excellent communication and presentation skills

Strong understanding of data management concepts, tools, and technologies

Familiarity with BI & visualization tools (e.g. Cognos, Tableau, PowerBI)

Preferred:

Master's Degree in Computer Science, Business, or Management Information Systems

Experience in current technology trends

Experience working with globally dispersed teams and agile methodologies

Law firm or Professional services industry experience
