Job Description:

An experienced Physician Assistant (PA) or Nurse Practitioner (NP) is needed for a General Surgery locum tenens position in Eureka, California. This is a long-term, ongoing assignment with a flexible monthly schedule and no call responsibilities. The provider will be expected to cover 7 14 days per month, with an immediate need for coverage from August, 2025.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide inpatient support for general surgery

Surgical assisting (preferred)

Limited clinic hours, typically totaling 8 hours per week

Participate in scheduled clinic hours (no telehealth or on-call requirements)

Schedule & Setting:

Shift Hours: 8 16 (clinic hours vary)

Inpatient and Clinic-Based

Electronic Medical Records (EMR): Epic

Requirements:

Active California PA or NP License (required)

ATLS Certification (required)

Experience in General Surgery

Surgical Assisting Preferred
