Global organization in HVAC manufacturing seeks an Engineering Executive who will be responsible for providing technical leadership, developing and implementing the company's engineering strategy, overseeing the engineering department, and ensuring the successful design and implementation of HVAC systems. They will also be involved in budgeting, personnel management, and being part of a team developing new technologies. If a professional does not reside in Indiana, relocation will be required.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute the company's engineering strategy, ensuring alignment with overall business goals.
Team Management: Oversee and mentor a team of engineers, including project managers, designers, and technical staff (30+).
Project Oversight: Manage the lifecycle of engineering projects, from initial concept to final design and installation (commercial & residential).
Budget Management: Develop and manage the engineering department's budget, including personnel costs, capital equipment, and software.
Technical Expertise: Maintain a high level of technical expertise in HVAC systems, including design, installation, and maintenance.
Innovation Identify, evaluate, and oversee new technologies for product innovation and efficiency improvements to assure and maintain industry leadership.
Collaboration: Work with other departments, such as sales, marketing, and operations, to ensure successful product development and implementation.
Compliance: Ensure that all projects comply with relevant safety regulations, environmental standards, and industry codes.
Reporting: Provide regular reports to the CEO, board, and other stakeholders on the state of the engineering department.
Qualifications:
Ten to fifteen years of direct leadership experience in the HVAC Industry
BS in Mechanical Engineering
Strong presentation, communication, and leadership skills
Demonstrated ability to engage at all levels of an organization(internal/external)
Self-motivated with an ability to manage multiple initiatives in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
Able to travel when required. Compensation:
