JOB DETAILS: Job Summary To provide safe and reliable transportation to staff and timely distribution of official correspondence and parcels of the Petroleum Authority of Uganda.
Key Duties and Responsibilities Drive the assigned office vehicle for official purposes, such as transporting Employees to carry out field activities.
Ensure that the assigned vehicle is in perfect mechanical condition before transporting the staff through regular checking of the vehicle.
Diagnose mechanical malfunctions in the assigned vehicle and report to the supervisor with a suggestion of appropriate action to be taken.
Keep a clean record of fuel issued / consumed and journeys made in the logbook to simplify the accountability of fuel used.
Ensure that routine service is done on time by monitoring the service mileage of the vehicle regularly.
Keep a tracker to ensure validity of both third-party and comprehensive insurances so that they are renewed when necessary.
Undertake any other assignments as may be directed from time to time.
QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE Basic Qualifications Advanced Level Certificate or its Equivalent Valid driving license, with Class “B.” Defensive driving Certificate.
Experience Three (3) years of work experience driving in a Corporate or Government institution.
