Description of Position As an Applications Engineer specializing in Building Automation, you will play a crucial role in the design engineering and creation of graphics for various building automation systems.

You will work closely with clients, project managers, and other stakeholders to deliver customized solutions tailored to specific project requirements.
Tasks and Responsibilities: Design Engineering: Collaborate with project teams to understand project specifications.
Develop comprehensive design plans for building automation systems.
Utilize industry-standard software tools for system design, such as Visio, Bluebeam, Niagara N4, Distech GFX, Distech Designer.
Provide technical expertise and guidance throughout the design process, addressing challenges and optimizing system configurations.
Graphics Creation: Translate design plans into detailed graphical representations for building automation systems.
Develop intuitive user interfaces and graphical displays using software tools like Niagara Framework, Tridium, or similar platforms.
Customize graphics to align with client preferences, branding guidelines, and operational needs.
Incorporate dynamic elements and interactive features to enhance usability and functionality.
Conduct testing and validation of graphical interfaces to ensure accurate representation of system status and performance.
Project Support: Work closely with project managers to coordinate design activities and ensure timely project delivery.
Collaborate with installation teams to facilitate the implementation of designed systems, providing technical support and guidance as needed.
Address technical inquiries and resolve design-related issues during the construction and commissioning phases.
Participate in client meetings and presentations to discuss design proposals, address concerns, and provide technical explanations.
Maintain accurate documentation of design specifications, revisions, and project milestones.

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field preferred.
Proven experience in building automation, HVAC systems, or related fields.
Proficiency in design software such as Visio, Niagara N4, Distech GFX, Distech Designer Familiarity with building automation protocols and platforms (e.g., BACnet, Modbus, Niagara Framework). Strong graphical design skills with experience in software tools like Niagara Workbench, Visio, or similar applications.
Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
Effective communication skills with the ability to collaborate across multidisciplinary teams and interact with clients.
Knowledge of industry standards, codes, and regulations related to building automation and controls.
