Emergency Medicine Physician - Locum Opportunity in Jackson, Ohio
Join a dedicated team at a community-focused medical facility in Jackson, Ohio. As part of our Emergency Department, you will be integral in providing exceptional care in a fast-paced environment. The facility supports a commitment to patient-centered care, with an annual volume of approximately 18,527 emergency visits and a focus on collaboration with various specialists. We are currently seeking an experienced Emergency Medicine provider available for a minimum of 5 shifts per month, preferably 8-10. Job Responsibilities:
Provide high-quality emergency care to patients in a bustling department.
Manage and oversee various patient conditions, ensuring timely and appropriate interventions.
Collaborate with Advanced Practice Providers (APPs) in patient care and decision-making.
Write admission orders and oversee the admission process into the hospital.
Utilize the All Scripts/Paragon EMR system for efficient documentation.
Facilitate transfers and consultations with specialists including Radiologists, Cardiologists, and Pulmonologists.
Participate in the fast track program within the Emergency Department.
Work flexible shifts, primarily during nights and weekends. Qualifications:
Board Certified in Emergency Medicine or equivalent (ABMS/AOA IM/FM).
A minimum of 2+ recent years of clinical experience in Emergency Medicine.
Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple priorities. License and Certification Requirements:
Valid Ohio state license (or accepted IMLC license with proof of LOQ).
BLS, ACLS, PALS certifications - all required.
NRP certification - required.
COVID-19 Vaccination - required.
