Treatment Process Design Engineer

Opening with our client for a Treatment Process Design Engineer for a role focused on water and wastewater treatment plant design projects. Looking for someone with strong "process mechanical" design experience to lead and support environmental remediation and treatment system work.

Essential Functions

Design process components for water/wastewater treatment (pumps, piping, flow control, etc.)

Develop PFDs and P&IDs for treatment systems

Select and design physical and biological treatment processes (e.g., filtration, GAC, chemical precipitation)

Prepare plans, specifications, SOPs, and O&M manuals

Lead and mentor junior engineers

Interface with clients, contractors, and internal teams

Assist with proposal development and manage budgets/timelines

Provide site support and field visits as needed

Requirements

Bachelor's in Civil, Environmental, Mechanical, or Chemical Engineering

7+ years in environmental engineering with at least 5 years in treatment process design

Proficiency in AutoCAD; Civil 3D, HydroCAD a plus

PE license or on track within 2 years

HAZWOPER 40-hour certification

Strong communication, client management, and multitasking skills
