Structural Engineer

Place Services, Inc. has an immediate need for a Structural Engineer for our General Construction Division to be based out of our Canton, GA HQ office location.

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Structural Engineer to join our team. This role requires a deep understanding of structural design, particularly with cold-formed framing, and proficiency in industry-standard software tools.

Candidates must be a licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in the state of Georgia and have the ability to obtain licensure in other states as needed.

What You'll Do:

Design, analyze, and develop structural solutions for a variety of projects, with a focus on cold-formed framing.

Collaborate with architects, contractors, and other engineering disciplines to ensure cohesive project delivery.

Prepare detailed engineering drawings, calculations, and reports using Revit, AutoCAD, and Bluebeam.

Conduct structural assessments and inspections as required.

Ensure designs comply with relevant codes, standards, and regulations.

Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers and team members.

Manage multiple projects simultaneously while adhering to deadlines and budgets.

Stay updated on advancements in structural engineering practices, materials, and technologies.

What You'll Bring:

Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in Georgia, with the ability to achieve licensure in other states.

10-15 years of professional experience in structural engineering.

A minimum of 5 years of experience in designing cold-formed framing.

Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, and Bluebeam.

Strong knowledge of building codes, standards, and best practices.

Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (Master's degree preferred).
