SUMMARY:
VadaTech is a world leader in the design and manufacturing of embedded computing solutions. Due to continued growth, we are seeking candidates for the position of Lead Production Test Engineer. The Lead Production Test Engineer is primarily responsible for managing and mentoring a group of test technicians in our product test area. This Engineer will support scheduling and managing product test and integration activities and provide mentorship to their team.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsible for the daily effective management of the production Test team operation
Reviews and publishes the monthly production test schedule, working with the production planners and production managers.
Establishes the daily priorities for the test team to ensure efficient execution of product testing, quality yield, and on-time shipment
Coordinates and communicates product test failures with the electrical engineering team and manages resolution.
Maintains and manages inventory of Test and Measurement equipment, ensuring the test team has sufficient resources for testing the product at all times. Ensures the test equipment is working and calibrated.
Lead and grow a talented team of test technicians to test and deliver efficient high-volume products as per monthly plan.
Ensures all test procedures for products and operations follow best practices and provide feedback to engineering.
Requirements:
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
BS degree in Electrical Engineering or other related discipline, with minimum 5 years’ experience in Test Engineering (or similar) including people management, preferably in high volume consumer electronics industry
Ability to read electronic board schematics, follow test procedures, and use some basic logical trouble shooting techniques
Requires strong technical expertise in electronics manufacturing and testing processes, acumen to innovate for test and efficiency, and proven ability to collaborate with multi-functional teams
Must be able to work with team and in a fast-paced environment
Self-disciplined, detail-oriented, organized, and must have a strong leadership skill.
Ability to work overtime and weekends depending on business demands
