Day to Day Duties

As a Cafe Chef your duties will include but not be limited to:

Preparing and presenting dishes to the highest standards

Cooking customer orders accurately and efficiently

Maintaining cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area

Participating in menu planning and development of daily specials

Managing stock levels and preparing food orders from suppliers

Opening the café in the morning and tidying/closing at end of day

Ensuring food safety and hygiene practices are adhered to at all times

Essential Skills

As a Cafe Chef you will need the following:

Previous experience working in a kitchen

A passion for food and customer service

Good communication skills and the ability to multi-task

High standards of hygiene and attention to detail

Organisational skills

Reliability

Self-motivated

Flexible and willing to take on a variety of tasks

Team player

Must be First Aid trained

Desirable Experience

Working in a cafe or food service environment

Training

Industry related training and ongoing support throughout
