Enterprise Azure Cloud System Administrator

Description

As an Enterprise Azure Cloud Engineer, you will be responsible for assessing, planning, and deploying cloud infrastructure solutions using Microsoft Azure. Your role will involve managing and optimizing cloud resources, ensuring security and compliance, and supporting ongoing cloud operations.

What You'll Do:

Set up and configure Azure resources, including virtual machines, databases, storage, and networking components

Implement security measures and ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements (e.g., HIPAA, GDPR)

Monitor resource usage and performance, making adjustments to optimize cost, performance, and scalability

Configure hybrid connectivity between on-site systems and the cloud environment

Develop IaC using tools like Terraform, Azure CLI, Puppet, and Ansible to ensure automated and consistent platform deployments

Implement policy-driven data protection best practices to safeguard cloud solutions from data loss.

Provide ongoing support for cloud adoption and transformation, ensuring all infrastructure components meet performance and capacity standards

Collaborate with stakeholders to assess current infrastructure and determine the most suitable Azure migration strategy (e.g., lift-and-shift, re-platforming, refactoring).

What You'll Need:

Education and/or experience equivalent to Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, or a related field

5+ years of Microsoft Azure experience involving design, deployment, configuration, and optimization

Experience with IaaS and PaaS solutions

Experience in the design and operation of medium to large-scale enterprise infrastructure, databases, and application systems

Experience working within an Agile framework

Proficiency in IaC development with tools like Terraform, Azure CLI, Puppet, and Ansible

Scripting skills with Perl, Python, and PowerShell

Proficiency with GIT for source code management

Experience with Terraform Cloud and Azure DevOps

Familiarity with Jira and ServiceNow

Nice to Have:

Azure Solutions Architect Expert or Azure DevOps Engineer Certifications preferred
