Job Description

Pride Health is hiring a phlebotomist to support our client’s medical facility based in Wichita, KS. This is a 3 month assignment with the possibility of a contract-to-hire opportunity and a great way to start working with a top-tier healthcare organization!

Job Title: Phlebotomist

Location: Float position throughout the Wichita, KS area – 20 miles between sites.(Milage will be reimbursed)

Core Hours: 1st Shift 7 AM to 7:30PM- depending on what location they are covering they could go in as early as 7 AM and could work as late as 7:30 PM, shift schedule sent out each week. If someone calls out might receive call last minute to cover location of call out.

Pay range: $19.07 per hour

Duration: 3 months

*The salary is determined by an individual's level of experience, as well as any relevant licenses and certifications they may hold.

Key Responsibilities:

Draw blood samples skillfully and safely, ensuring accuracy and compliance with established practices.

Provide coverage across multiple locations, adapting to various roles as needed.

Act as a mentor and resource for new employees, offering effective onboarding services.

Collaborate with staff on-site and provide regular input to group leads or supervisors.

Engage with customers, particularly in complex or high-volume practices, demonstrating exceptional customer service and communication skills.

Manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Required Qualifications:

Education: High school diploma or equivalent; medical assistant or paramedic training preferred.

Certification: Phlebotomy certification preferred (required in CA, NV, and WA).

Experience:

Minimum of 5 years in phlebotomy, including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections.

At least 2 years in a Patient Service Center (PSC) or In-Office Phlebotomy (IOP) environment they were preferred.

Customer service experience in a retail or service setting is preferred.

Keyboard/data entry skills.
