Responsibilities:
Conduct Line Balancing Analysis: Analyze current production lines to identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and areas for improvement. Utilize Lean Manufacturing principles to optimize workflow and resource allocation.
Develop Line Rebalancing Strategies: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to create and implement strategies for rebalancing production lines. Ensure that production targets are met while maintaining quality standards.
Process Optimization: Identify and implement process improvements to increase productivity, reduce cycle times, and minimize waste. Implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance overall production efficiency.
Conduct Work Measurement Studies: Utilize MOST methodology to perform time and motion studies to analyze and optimize work processes.
Establish Standardized Work Methods: Develop and implement standardized work procedures based on the findings of time studies to improve operational efficiency.
Collaborate with Production Teams: Partner with production managers, supervisors, and operators to gather feedback and insights on line performance. Provide training and support to ensure effective implementation of rebalancing strategies.
Data Analysis and Reporting: Collect and analyze production data to track progress and performance. Generate regular reports on key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the impact of rebalancing efforts.
Capacity Planning: Work closely with production planning teams to forecast demand and ensure that production lines are appropriately staffed and equipped to meet production goals.
Compliance and Safety: Ensure all production processes comply with industry standards, regulations, and safety protocols. Identify and address any safety concerns or potential hazards. Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in industrial engineering or related field.
5 years of experience in automotive production, with a focus on work measurement, process optimization, and line rebalancing.
Proficient in Lean Manufacturing principles and tools.
Proficient in time and motion study methodologies, including MOST.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
Experience with process simulation and optimization software is a plus.
Knowledge of automotive industry standards and best practices.
