RTE - Release Train Engineer
Location: MN / Hybrid
Program PLANT Overview:
Implement Fiserv DNA for Loan Accounting/Loan Servicing for all Customers. Build interfacing programs in a cloud environment. Test and roll out to end users.
Transitioning from highly customized legacy platform to scalable, modern tech stack
Next-generation technologies will be easier to maintain and enhance over time
Enabling real-time capabilities (vs. batch loads in today's world)
Better security and compliance
Ultimately lowers fixed costs by moving off of the current mainframe solution Key Responsibilities
Lead Program PLANT Agile Release Train (ART) and serve as coach/mentor to Scrum Masters
Serve as role model for Agile delivery best practices
Facilitate the ART events and processes and assist the teams in finding ways to improve efficiencies in delivering value
Communicate with stakeholders, escalate impediments, and help manage risk
Manage and optimize the flow of value through the ART using various tools, such as Azure DevOps and the Program Kanban
Plan for and facilitate PI planning events
Summarize Team PI Objectives and publish them for visibility and transparency
Facilitate periodic synchronization events, including the ART/PO/SoS sync meetings
Encourage collaboration between teams and System and Solution Architects/Engineering Work with Product and Solution Management, Product Owners, and other stakeholders to help ensure strategy and execution alignment
Drive relentless improvement via Inspect and Adapt workshops; assess the agility level of the ART and help them improve Foster Communities of Practice and the use of engineering and Built-In Quality practices
Maintain program schedule, risk and issue log
In collaboration with Product Owners and Scrum Masters, prepare presentations for ELT, Board, SMC, and Steering Committees
Coordinate with ICFR Compliance Lead to ensure requirements and controls are met
Partner with Business Readiness Lead on change strategy and user adoption efforts Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, Finance, or related field
7+ years of related experience
5+ years of leadership experience
5+ years of experience leading complex technology transformation programs, preferably in the financial industry
Agile experience/certifications required, SAFe experience/certifications strongly preferred
Expertise in organizational change management discipline
Ability to foster relationships within the organization and internal and external stakeholders
Strong verbal and written communication skills Key Experience(s)
Prior experience as a Release Train Engineer
Understanding of Agile (SCRUM/Kanban) and SAFe practices
Coaching in Agile/SAFe formats
Previously run ART Ceremonies
Previous work as a SM or PM on FISERV products, specifically DNA, a plus Key Skill(s):
Good communicator, both written and verbal
Well organized
Attention to detail
Visionary - One that can piece the big picture together given the defined purpose of the work at hand
Skilled instructor that can adapt to current Agile maturity and help develop grown Key Technology /Certification(s):
SAFe certified a plus
