Title of Position: Assistant Director of Engineering

Job Description: The Assistant Director of Engineering will assist the Director in managing the Resort's engineering department, providing technical expertise to ensure efficient operations and maintenance of all facilities. This role involves overseeing daily operations, scheduling preventative maintenance, repairs, and renovations, as well as assisting with budget planning and cost control to optimize resources and maintain quality standards. You will collaborate with other departments to implement energy-saving strategies and promote sustainability practices throughout the Resort. Supervising a team of engineers and technicians, you will provide mentorship, track performance metrics, conduct evaluations, and implement improvement plans as needed. Strong leadership, excellent communication, and a thorough understanding of building systems are essential, along with the ability to solve complex problems effectively while maintaining a positive attitude. Working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with state-of-the-art facilities, you will play a key role in ensuring the Resort's smooth operation and delivering exceptional service.

Qualifications:

• Associate's degree or equivalent experience with 5+ years in hands-on equipment maintenance, including troubleshooting electronics using tools like test clips, SMD tweezers, probes, and extraction tools.

• 3+ years of experience supervising technically skilled teams, with proven leadership in a resort or water park setting.

• Relevant certifications, including Plumbing License, Certified Pool & Spa Operator (CPO), and Aquatic Facility Operator (AFO).

• Skilled in developing and implementing programs that comply with regulations such as Ergonomics, Emergency Response, Injury and Illness Prevention, and Hazard Communications.

• Strong people management abilities, including conflict resolution, coaching, teamwork promotion, and performance management.
