About the Role

As a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) at Greenwood Health and Living, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care across all shifts. Your primary responsibility will be to assist in the daily living activities of residents, ensuring their comfort and well-being. You will collaborate with registered nurses and other healthcare professionals to implement care plans and monitor patient progress. This position requires a compassionate approach, as you will be interacting with patients and their families, providing emotional support and education. Ultimately, your efforts will contribute to enhancing the quality of life for our residents and ensuring a safe and nurturing environment.

Job Responsibilities

Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.

Monitor and record vital signs, and report any changes in patient conditions to the nursing staff.

Assist residents with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, and eating.

Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and documentation.

Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the healthcare team to provide comprehensive care. Minimum Qualifications

Current and valid LPN license in the state of practice.

Completion of an accredited practical nursing program.

Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. Preferred Qualifications

Experience in long-term care or geriatric nursing.

Certification in IV therapy.

Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems.
