Geographic locations in which MMSI currently operates include the U.S East, Gulf & West Coasts, and Alaska. The Corporate Office is in Southern California (Ventura) and its Regional Boat Maintenance Center a technically advanced facility in Woodbine Georgia.
How you would make an impact/key responsibilities:
Join the dynamic MMSI team as the Kings Bay Project Manager for the Southeast Region Port Operations for the Navy. This position is located at the Kings Bay Submarine Base, GA. Job responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Scheduling manpower and equipment for ship movements and operations.
Knowledgeable with ABYC and ABS standards, developing work packages with specifications.
Communicates with Military and Government Civilian personnel regarding assigned operations and equipment status.
Scheduling, oversight and inspection of all contract maintenance requirements
The Site Manager shall conduct and document quality assurance checks of maintenance and repair processes performed at their installation and provide a weekly report to the Maintenance System Administrator.
Ensures compliance to all Company Policies and Procedures, USCG, Federal, State and local government agencies regulations.
Any other duties as required for contract performance.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
Overall in charge of all personnel assigned to the site.
Qualifications:
The Project Manager will have a minimum of five (5) years' experience in project management, resume documented leadership, full understanding of training evolutions, small boat and work boat operations, OSR facility response plans, booming strategies, outboard engine, diesel engine and hull predictive, preventive and corrective maintenance requirements.
The Project Manager must be capable of interacting effectively with the COR, other technical and management personnel.
Must have demonstrated excellent management, verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to obtain multiple base access badges.
