The Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) position at Life Care Center of Evergreen requires a minimum of a Master's degree in speech therapy, ASHA certification or eligibility for Clinical Fellowship Year, state licensure, and one year of experience in post-acute care.
The role involves providing direct rehab care to patients, setting realistic goals, overseeing care given by SLP CFYs, charting accurately, utilizing therapy software, and demonstrating excellent customer service.
Other responsibilities include participating in community health projects, liaising with patients and families, maintaining professional relationships, and adhering to company policies and compliance procedures.
The SLP must possess good body mechanics, make independent decisions, and have knowledge of laws and regulations governing post-acute care facilities.
The position also requires proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and email, as well as the ability to work effectively in an interdisciplinary team.
The SLP should exhibit integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality, and must complete mandatory Code of Conduct and compliance training.
The job involves physical tasks such as sitting, standing, bending, lifting, and moving intermittently, as well as effective communication in English.
