Nurse Practitioner

Nurse Practitioner job summary: Provides direct care to inmates in correctional institutions, offers emergency care to staff, diagnoses and treats inmates, performs H&P examinations, orders and conducts necessary tests, educates inmates on medical conditions and treatments, maintains medical records, orders medications, participates in CQI program, and fulfills other duties as assigned.

Requirements: Graduate of accredited program, current state license, certification or eligibility for certification, competent as per state's practice act, current CPR certificate.
