Lab Assistant Outpatient Lab/Per Diem

Trained individual to perform blood processing and tests, including venipunctures and skin punctures.

Responsible for obtaining and labeling blood samples accurately.

May register patients and verify medical necessity for Medicare.

Requirements: High school diploma, ability to operate lab equipment, relevant experience preferred.

Works under supervision of Lab Manager, Drawsite Manager, or Supervisor.

Environment includes routine exposure to bloodborne pathogens and various hazards.

Physical requirements include standing, sitting, lifting patients, and working rapidly under time pressure.
