About the Role:
Blossoms is looking for an Interior Designer with a creative spark, technical design skills, and a collaborative spirit to join our in-office team. You’ll work closely with our design, floral, and production teams to create high-impact layouts and custom installations for luxury events that leave our clients and their guests floored.
We anticipate this role growing into a senior-level contributor who facilitates presentations to clients, owns project budgets, and interfaces with consultants and vendors.
Responsibilities:
Design visual elements for weddings and private events (e.g., custom structures, decor)
Build upon event themes, working with internal teams to bring big-picture event concepts to life
Collaborate with client-facing, build/install, and floral teams to create cohesive concepts and renderings designs that align with client specifications
Present design concepts to stakeholders and incorporate feedback into final deliverables (may occasionally participate in client design reviews)
Stay current on design and event trends to keep our work fresh and innovative
Occasionally assist on-site at events (preferred)
Qualifications:
2+ years of graphic design with 3D rendering experience and familiarity with 3D design tools (e.g., Vectorworks, AutoCAD, SketchUp)
Expertise in space planning and interior design, ideally experienced with high-end residential design (bonus points if you've worked in events specifically)
(Preferred) 1 year of experience with Cinema 4D by Maxon or similar
Strong conceptual and visual communication skills–you can take an idea or a design that’s given to you and bring it to life!
Strong organizational skills–you have worked in a collaborative environment where others need access to your files and develop practices to keep them organized in shared drives.
Enjoy working collaboratively and sharing ideas–you are excited about the idea of working in a culture of collaboration!
Flexible and comfortable in a fast-paced, hands-on environment–we’re a small team, so you might occasionally need to step outside of your comfort zone to help with a project, whether that’s a simple administrative task or a big strategic initiative! No task is too big or too small for you.
Open to occasional weekend work or off-site visits for events–our designers don’t usually attend events, but you would be open to occasionally jumping in if needed on a specific project.
Bonus Experience (Not Required):
Architecture, engineering, building, or fabrication background; or
Floral design knowledge or passion for floral aesthetics
