JOB SUMMARY:
The Supply Chain Manager will be responsible for the efficient operations of the Supply Chain department. This individual should have the ability to evaluate emerging technology and implement changes and enhancements as needed for day-to-day purchasing and supply chain functions. This person will need to work closely with and communicate effectively with all departments. Previous experience supervising a team is required. The job requires the individual to be a team player with the ability to function well in a challenging and fast paced environment. Must be enthusiastic, positive, even-tempered and have strong skills in areas of dependability, interpersonal relationships, flexibility and professionalism.
EDUCATION, CREDENTIALS & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor’s degree in business administration, economics or a related field is preferred.
Minimum of one-year of supervisory experience is required.
At least two (2) years of experience with the procurement or operations function in the healthcare environment required.
Knowledge of contract management preferred.
Experience with project management preferred.

JOB SPECIFIC COMPETENCIES:
Provide support and oversight of all aspects of Supply Chain Operations, including purchasing, receiving, delivery, contracting, inventory management, and warehouse operations.
Assist Supply Chain Director in all aspects of personnel oversight and management for the department.
Lead, manage, and participate in projects on behalf of the Supply Chain Department from initial engagement and research through completion.
Serve as contact person for the implementation of all software enhancements for Supply Chain department.
Review all Supply Chain processes, policies, and procedures to make recommendations for increased efficiency and effectiveness, as well as transitioning to fewer paper-based processes.
Research and help implement solutions to include technological advances and increased efficiency.
Work with other departments to update and maintain the organization’s equipment and fixed asset inventory system, including on-going updates.
Assist with implementing a system for vendor management, including ongoing support.
Establish and maintain effective working relations with managers and personnel.
Provide excellent customer service skills to internal and external customers.
Assist with inventory preparation and optimization.
Assist with electronic routing of policy and procedures to ensure compliance with organizational standards.
Helps to complete tasks in the Supply Chain Department that are not within the job description. Renders self-available, when responsibilities have been met, to assist in areas that may require assistance within the department.
Communicate effectively and professionally with all departments, verbally and in writing.
Review all reporting data to ensure accuracy.
Identify department needs such as staffing, system, industry trends and communicate with the Supply Chain Director.
Review market trend studies and develop cost analyses.
Must be able to effectively analyze and provide recommendations to resolve complex issues.
Must possess excellent critical thinking, organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills to enable sound and timely decision-making.
Must have the ability and willingness to maintain changing priorities and work assignments in support of multiple projects and deadlines.
Requires minimal supervision in performance of job duties and is a self-starter.
Requires strong attention to detail and excellent writing and computer skills.
Prioritize responsibilities to ensure completion of duties and adherence to deadlines.
