Responsibilities
Complete experimental flight tests in a hybrid electric aircraft, including first flights, envelope expansion, and more.
Coordinate with flight operations to schedule both ground tests and flight tests.
Create and review test cards.
Assess aircraft and flight readiness.
Prepare post-flight reports for operations, maintenance, and engineering teams.
Engage in safety assessments
Liaise with FAA representatives, such as DARs.
Required Qualifications
Minimum of three (3) years of experience as an Experimental Test Pilot.
Commercial pilot license with multi-engine rating and high performance and complex endorsements.
FAA Class II Medical (active).
1,000+ PIC total flight hours.
Preferred Qualifications
Graduate of a recognized Test Pilot School.
Experience flight testing small reciprocating experimental aircraft preferred.
Experience flight testing electric propulsion aircrafts.
8+ years of experience as an Experimental Test Pilot.
5,000+ PIC total flight hours.
