Integration & Test Engineer
Salary: $130,000 – $190,000
Location: Burlingame, CA (Fulltime/Onsite)
Position Summary:
We are looking for an experienced and hands-on Integration & Test Engineer to join our cutting-edge R&D team working on a next-generation satellite navigation system. In this role, you’ll lead a growing test team and own the entire test lifecycle—from building capabilities and infrastructure to executing full system integration and environmental validation. Essential Job Functions and Desired Accomplishments
• Lead test campaigns for satellite payload hardware, including thermal, vibration, shock, EMI/EMC, and acoustic environments
• Build and manage a high-performing team of engineers, technicians, and specialists
• Develop test plans, procedures, infrastructure, and tooling to support rapid, scalable validation
• Analyze test data, troubleshoot anomalies, and ensure all hardware meets performance standards
• Drive the full integration, verification & validation (IV&V) process from concept through flight
• Provide input into DFM/DFA during design reviews to improve testability and manufacturability
• Collaborate closely with engineering, operations, and manufacturing teams to streamline production
• Oversee test activities during critical campaigns, with travel and 24/7 availability as needed
• Implement automation and process improvements aligned with a digital factory framework
• Maintain high standards of quality, documentation, and safety throughout all test operations
Education/Qualifications/Certifications
Required:
• Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace, Electrical, Mechanical Engineering, or similar technical field
• 5+ years of relevant experience in hardware test engineering (preferably aerospace or defense)
• Strong skills in test plan development, execution, and environmental testing techniques
• Excellent problem-solving ability and technical documentation experience
• Ability to build and lead cross-functional teams in fast-paced environments
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Willingness to travel and work flexible hours during key test events
Desired:
• Familiarity with MES (Manufacturing Execution Systems)
• Experience with DFM/DFA and automated test systems
• Leadership experience in managing engineers or technicians
• Background in spacecraft environmental testing and digital factory integration
