**Job Description**

The Assembler operates sewing machines to sew materials together and applies silicone sealant using semi-automatic hand operator assembly fixtures and sealing machines. The role involves cutting materials according to specifications, folding them for machine sewing, and assembling components by examining connections for correct fit. The Assembler prepares work by studying assembly instructions, blueprint specifications, and parts lists, and documents actions by completing production and quality forms.

**Responsibilities**

+ Operate sewing machines to sew materials together.

+ Apply silicone sealant using semi-automatic hand operator assembly fixtures and sealing machines.

+ Cut materials according to specifications, and trim excess material or thread from finished products.

+ Fold materials such as cloth, foam rubber, and plastic to prepare for machine sewing.

+ Prepare work by studying assembly instructions, blueprint specifications, and parts lists.

+ Gather parts, subassemblies, tools, and materials for assembly.

+ Position parts and subassemblies using templates or by reading measurements.

+ Assemble components by examining connections for correct fit and fastening parts.

+ Verify specifications by measuring completed components.

+ Document actions by completing production and quality forms.

**Essential Skills**

+ At least 1 year of assembly experience.

+ Ability to read basic directions and follow drawings.

+ Capability to lift up to 50 pounds.

+ High School degree or GED.

**Additional Skills & Qualifications**

+ Medical Device experience preferred but not necessary.

The work environment is an open assembly room, clean and well-lit, with sewing machines along one side and assembly tables next to them.

**Job Type & Location**

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Minnetonka, Minnesota.

**Pay and Benefits**

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00/hr.
