**Job Title: Lead CNC Machinist**

**Job Description**

Join a dynamic manufacturer and distributor of mechanical seals as a Lead CNC Machinist. You'll be responsible for fabricating parts for the seals and pump industry in a true job shop environment, working with a variety of materials and part dimensions.

**Must Haves**

+ 10+ years of CNC machining experience in a job shop setting.

+ Experience with 5-axis CNC machines (Mill + Lathe).

+ Proficiency in G&M code and familiarity with CNC programming to make edits.

+ Strong communication skills, particularly with Microsoft Teams.

+ Autonomous and self-driven work ethic

**Responsibilities**

+ Operate a 5-axis CNC Machine (Multi U400) with both mill and lathe capabilities.

+ Work with Okuma OSP controls and read G&M code programming.

+ Perform light manual machining tasks including operating a horizontal lathe and a vertical mill.

+ Deburr parts, cut with a manual saw, and conduct quality control using measuring tools.

+ Perform light maintenance on machinery.

+ Grow the machine shop and eventually take on leadership responsibilities.

**Work Environment**

Work in a newer, medium-sized facility that is clean, mostly air-conditioned, and organized. The shop includes open bay doors for ventilation. Dress code includes steel-toe boots, jeans, work shirt, and safety glasses. The standard shift is Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM, but there is flexibility to create your own schedule and work any time of day or week, provided that work orders are completed perfectly.

**Job Type & Location**

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Houston, Texas.

**Pay and Benefits**

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $42.00/hr.
