Description:
The Cockpit Product Design Engineer must have experience in the design / development of cockpit components and will drive the development process. The candidate will be responsible to design, release, and validate Cockpit systems and components, leading the process from inception through launch. The Candidate must be an energetic leader that proposes feasible solutions and leads the team through the product development process. The candidate must be knowledgeable in development of DFMEA, DVP&R, and validation plans. Previous OEM, Supplier,, NX, Team Center. Problem solving and DFSS experience is also desirable. Positive attitude is critical.
Requirements:
Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent from an ABET accredited university or equivalent (Material Science/ Civil Engineering/ Aerospace) Engineering degree
All experience levels considered including recent college graduates
Knowledge of Product Development for Cockpit Systems in one or more areas below:
Instrument Panel Systems and Components,
Console System and Components,
Door Trim Systems and Components
Cross Car Beam Structures (Steel welded Assemblies and/or Cast Structures)
NX, Team Center, business system experience
Knowledgeable in development of DFMEA, DVP&R, and validation plans
Self Starter with ability to lead and direct a cross-functional team.

Preferred Qualifications:
Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering or Equivalent Engineering degree
Previous OEM / Supplier / Chrysler experience is highly desirable
Problem solving and DFSS experience
Hands on experience with Design, Release and Manufacturing of Cockpit components.
Knowledge of tooling (Injection Molding, Blow Molding, Foaming, Stamping)
Injection molding, Blow molding, Foaming process and Stamping experience
MS Office experience
