Job Description:

We are seeking a dynamic and visionary Social Media Strategist to join our talented team at King & Columbus. You will support the development and execution of organic social strategises that engage audiences, drive conversation, and elevate brand visibility. This role will report to our Social Media Manager and work closely with account, content, and creative teams to bring campaigns to life through thoughtful planning, engaging content, and strong community management.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist in the development and execution of organic social strategies based on direction from and collaboration with the Social Media Manager.

Conduct thorough research and analysis to identify industry trends, competitive insights, and audience preferences, informing strategy development and content planning.

Collaborate on content calendars, brainstorms, and post planning for multiple client accounts.

Create compelling content calendars and editorial plans that align with strategic objectives and leverage seasonal trends, cultural moments, and industry events.

Execute content creation and publishing across social media platforms, including but not limited to Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, and TikTok, ensuring consistency and quality across channels.

Monitor social media channels for engagement opportunities, customer inquiries, and brand mentions, providing timely responses and fostering positive interactions.

Implement community management best practices to cultivate and nurture online communities, driving engagement, loyalty, and advocacy.

Analyze performance metrics and KPIs to measure the effectiveness of organic social media efforts, identify areas for optimization, and inform future strategy development.

Stay abreast of emerging social media trends, platform updates, and best practices, leveraging insights to drive innovation and continuous improvement.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate social media strategies with broader marketing initiatives and campaigns, ensuring alignment and maximizing impact.

Support client events and activations by capturing real-time content and fostering audience engagement through live updates, behind-the-scenes footage, and interactive experiences.

Travel locally to client locations as needed to support real-time content creation, community engagement, and on-the-ground activations, fostering authentic connections and driving brand affinity.

Qualifications:

Education and Experience:

Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or a related field.

1-2 years of professional or internship experience in a social media role (agency or in-house).

Skills and Abilities:

Strong strategic thinking and analytical skills, with the ability to translate insights into actionable social media strategies.

Exceptional content creation and storytelling abilities, with a keen eye for visual aesthetics and engaging copywriting.

Proficiency in social media management tools and analytics platforms, with experience in performance tracking and reporting.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with clients and internal stakeholders.

Creative mindset, with a passion for exploring new trends, formats, and creative approaches to social media content.

Detail-oriented approach and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.

Flexibility and adaptability to travel locally as needed to support client initiatives and events, including evenings and weekends.
