Are you a hands-on hardware design expert with a passion for ruggedized systems? ArgonFDS is seeking a Hardware/Electrical Design Engineer who thrives in environments that demand both analog and digital PCB expertise. You'll be a key contributor in developing mission-critical technology for aerospace and defense applications.
What You’ll Do
Lead analog and digital PCB designs using Altium Designer—from schematic capture to layout and validation
Design and integrate custom boards and COTS components optimized for rugged environments
Support all phases of engineering reviews including PDR, CDR, TRR, and PRR
Use GIDEP tools to evaluate part risks including obsolescence and counterfeit detection
Collaborate across teams to improve design for manufacturability, performance, and ruggedization
Create engineering drawings, system block diagrams, and detailed documentation for extreme environments
Select and integrate components for computing, display systems, storage, and power
What You Bring
Bachelor’s in Electrical, Computer Engineering, or related field
4–7 years of experience in hardware design, with deep Altium Designer proficiency
Strong foundation in analog, digital, and mixed-signal PCB design
Experience with ruggedized electronics (shock, vibration, temperature tolerance)
Familiarity with lab testing tools (oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, etc.)
CAD software knowledge (SolidWorks and/or AutoCAD)
Preferred Experience
Designing PCBs for aerospace, fixed-wing, and rotorcraft systems
Analog signal processing and high-speed digital systems
Power management, video signal conversion, and embedded hardware
MIL/DOD compliance and system-level rugged design standards
