Position and purpose:
The Senior Site Reliability Engineer is responsible for supporting the stability of our environments across Illuminate Clients. This includes the day-to-day operations for points of contact with client services organizations to support implementations, account management, or support. Acting as the advocate and trusted advisor to ensure that solutions are developed to resolve the client’s business challenges through leveraging Illuminates’ expertise and capabilities. And contributing to the roadmap to advance Illuminates aims with advancements in our infrastructure.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field from an accredited university or related experience.
Minimum 6 years’ experience in technical role.
Development in healthcare related industry.
Competencies and work style:
Have a breadth of knowledge of our Products, SDKs, and fluency with one or more programming languages, including but not limited to Javascript, C#, Python, or Clojure.
Manage communications and expectations with internal stakeholders maintain positive relationships.
Seek to reproduce customer issues, which may include writing or modifying code, and, when necessary, work closely with multiple sub-departments within engineering to a speedy resolution.
Contribute useful content to our internal Knowledge Base and create code samples, tutorials, and articles for the external Knowledge Base.
Work with our Development team and Data Science team to build out new systems and enhance our current systems.
Key responsibilities and essential functions:
Gather and analyze metrics from operating systems as well as applications to assist in performance tuning and fault finding
Partner with development teams to improve services through rigorous testing and release procedures
Participate in system design consulting, platform management, and capacity planning
Create sustainable systems and services through automation and uplifts
Balance feature development speed and reliability with well-defined service-level objectives
Improve reliability, quality, and time-to-market of our suite of software solution
Skills and Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in computer science or related discipline
6 years of professional SRE experience
Experience with standardized orchestrated deployments using Kubernetes, Docker, Terraform, Ansible, Chef, Puppet, etc.
Proactive approach to identifying problems, performance bottlenecks, and areas for improvement
Experience with relational databases such as SQL server or PostgreSQL
Experience with Lucene derivatives such as SOLR or Elastic Search
Experience managing hypervisors: VMware, Proxmox
Experience with Linux and Windows Administration
Experience with various cloud solutions: AWS, Azure, GCP
Experience designing and implementing effective logging/monitoring solutions

Pay: $130,000.00 - $160,000.00 per year
