People Architects is excited to partner with a production company located in Strongsville, Ohio.
Our client, a privately held manufacturing client is conducting a confidential search for an experienced CNC Lathe Operator/Set-Up Technician to join their team on a full-time basis. This critical role involves setting up and operating CNC lathe machines, performing precision inspections to ensure quality standards, and maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
● Set up and operate Okuma CNC Lathe machines.
● Read and interpret blueprints, including GD&T symbols.
● Use precision measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, thread rings, gage pins, chamfer checkers, and optical comparators.
● Utilize hand tools including allen wrenches, box wrenches, screwdrivers, and other specialty tools to maintain and repair CNC lathes.
● Complete quality control paperwork to ensure parts meet print tolerances.
● Offset tooling and adjust chuck to maintain product specifications.
● Change tooling and inserts as needed.
● Set drill and boring bar lengths and centerlines.
● Troubleshoot machine problems and make necessary adjustments.
● Identify and report or resolve safety hazards.
● Follow all company policies and procedures.
● Work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Requirements:
● High School diploma or equivalent.
● Minimum of 3 years' experience in a machine shop setting, including CNC lathe setup and operation.
● Demonstrated ability to work with minimal supervision.
● Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
● Effective verbal communication skills.
● High level of integrity and a strong work ethic.
● 3-5 years of CNC lathe setup and operation experience.
