Our client is a design-build contractor that specializes in federal healthcare projects. They serve across the nation and are headquartered in Reston, Virginia. They have an immediate need for a full-time Preconstruction Administrator to join their team at the corporate office in Reston, VA.
The Preconstruction Administrator will support our client’s procurement functions on the preconstruction team. They will play a pivotal role in the early phases of project development, coordinating and managing preconstruction activities to ensure seamless project initiation and successful execution.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and maintain comprehensive preconstruction documentation, including proposals, contracts, and change orders.
Ensure all preconstruction activities comply with company policies, safety standards, and local regulations.
Handle incoming calls, emails, and correspondence professionally and promptly.
Manage daily administrative tasks including scheduling meetings, appointments, and conference calls.
Drafting, negotiating, and finalizing contracts, ensuring they align with company objectives and legal requirements.
Monitoring contract performance, managing changes, and resolving disputes.
Serving as a point of contact for contractors and stakeholders, addressing inquiries and resolving issues.
Maintaining accurate records of contracts, renewals, and expirations.
Assisting with preconstruction procurement processes, including vendor selection and contract negotiation.
Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Requirements
2+ years of experience in an administrative or office support role, preferably in construction or related industries.
High school diploma; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred.
Proficiency in Procore, Docusign, and the Microsoft Office Suite.
Knowledge of construction and government contracts.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills to collaborate effectively with clients, design teams, subcontractors, etc.
Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
