We are currently seeking a Marketing/Proposals Manager to lead the charge in crafting standout proposals and presentations that help us land the next big gig. This role bridges marketing strategy with business development, ensuring every proposal aligns with brand messaging, meets client requirements, and positions us as the best choice in a competitive market. Essential Duties & Responsibilities: This is a full-time, on-site position based in our Charlotte office with opportunities to travel and work with teammates across the company.
Manage project RFP responses/proposals and interview presentations across the company’s three offices from start to finish, including organization, strategy development, design and submission.
Responsible for managing internal RFP calendar to ensure draft and submission deadlines are met allowing project team ample time for review.
Lead timely scheduling of team touch points as needed (kick-off meetings, dry runs, presentation prep, etc.)
Collaborate with the team members across the company to develop pursuit approach, identifying key client requirements and applying Barringer historical data in the process.
Develop specialized graphics, case studies, and additional collateral inside the RFP response.
Build the slide deck for interview presentations & develop specialized graphics for the presentation slide deck.
Manage Unanet CRM database to maintain current data regarding team resumes, project data, mailing lists, reports, etc.
Collaborate on layout design, content development, and copy editing for a broad range of project-specific collateral including project data sheets, resumes, and qualification packages.
Edit, update, organize, and maintain copy to ensure content is accurate, tailored, and client-specific.
Minimum of quarterly Jobsite visits to generate best practices/lessons learned content.
Continually look for new and unique ways to market, advertise, and position the company with a focus on Customer, Community, and Team.
Bring new ideas and feedback annually to the overall company marketing and pursuit strategy.
Track proposal outcomes and client feedback while supporting continuous improvement initiatives.
Aid in other marketing team initiatives outside of proposals and interviews.

5+ years of marketing experience, preferably in the AEC industry (other applicable marketing experience will be considered)
RFP response/proposal/interview experience

Adobe Creative Suite experience (particularly InDesign; Illustrator, Photoshop, Lightroom, and Premiere Pro are a plus)
WordPress, Mailchimp, and Canva experience
Microsoft Office 365 knowledge (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Education and/or Experience: 4-year college degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism or related field and 5+ years of marketing experience.
Language Skills: Ability to read, write and speak English. Ability to write in a variety of styles for different formats (social media, reports, narratives and business correspondence). Occasionally present information in formal business settings and comfort with business networking with strangers.
Math Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, divide, compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs and data tables.
Reasoning Ability: Ability to solve problems and deal with a variety of customers, co-workers and subcontractors in a fast-paced work environment. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written or oral form in a timely manner.
Physical Demands: The employee is frequently required to stand, walk or sit and must be able to move about freely in an office and occasionally in a construction environment. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision to work on a computer.
Work Environment: The employee will spend time in a climate controlled, indoor office environment. There will be occasional visits to construction sites for tours, celebrations or meetings.
