K2 is seeking a Project Manager to oversee the successful execution of airport security screening projects. This role involves full project lifecycle management, from pre-construction through closeout, ensuring technical excellence, financial performance, and stakeholder satisfaction. The ideal candidate will be a customer-focused leader, capable of delivering high-quality projects safely, on time, and within budget.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee all project documentation, including RFIs, bills of material, daily reports, subcontractor maintenance, as-built documentation, SOWs, POs, government administrative submittals, change orders, field reports, and invoicing.
Provide operational support during project pre-construction and bidding phases, including cost estimating, scope development, construction scheduling, and logistics planning.
Identify, manage, price, and execute change orders.
Monitor project risks and implement mitigation strategies.
Lead and manage project meetings to ensure alignment among stakeholders.
Oversee project billings and financial performance.
Manage the project closeout process, including final documentation, punch lists, and contract/subcontractor final payments.
Travel domestically 50-75% as required.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent project experience).
5+ years of experience in construction project management, both on-site and off-site.
Proven experience managing multiple projects ranging from $50,000 to $5,000,000.
Background in aviation, airport, or security-related construction preferred.
PMP certification or similar credentials preferred.
Strong track record of delivering projects on time and within budget.
Ability to collaborate with multiple stakeholders and the Project Management Office.
Experience in design formulation and compliance resolution with federal, state, and local authorities.
Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
Proficiency in project management software, including MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Access).
Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and committed to quality and integrity.
