Greylock recently led a series seed investment in New York. This is an opportunity to join a set of founders, with exceptional backgrounds (tenured engineers, top CS programs, deep domain experience and prior founding journeys) as the first engineer at the company. They are still in stealth mode so we cannot share exact details at this time. However, broadly, they are building in the AI dev tooling space.
The ideal candidate is passionate about joining a ground-floor initiative, eager to shape the future of a startup by contributing to its early-stage growth and innovation. The role is a generalist - you'll be touching each part of the stack and playing a critical role in 0 --> 1 decisions.

Role: Senior Software Engineer - Generalist
Ideal Qualifications
4+ yrs of experience building software systems, ideally from scratch an to scale.
Proficiency in at least two programming languages (e.g., Python, JavaScript, Java, Go, or similar).
Experience with full-stack development, including front-end (e.g., React, Vue.js) and back-end (e.g., Node.js, Django, Spring) frameworks.
Familiarity with databases (SQL and NoSQL, e.g., PostgreSQL, MongoDB).
Knowledge of cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure) and containerization (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
CS degree or equivalent
