Job Title: Customer Service Engineer /Senior Network Engineer

Location: San Jose, CA (onsite)

Duration: 5+ months

Pay Rate: $90/hr - $100/hr on W2

Description

Design, configure, and implement network solutions, including LANs, WANs, VPNs, and firewalls.

Install, configure, and maintain network devices such as routers, switches, firewalls, and load balancers.

Monitor network performance and troubleshoot network issues to ensure optimal uptime and performance.

Implement and maintain network security measures to protect data and infrastructure from unauthorized access.

Perform network capacity planning and make recommendations for network upgrades.

Develop and maintain network documentation, including network diagrams, configurations, and procedures.

Collaborate with other IT teams and vendors to resolve network-related issues and implement new technologies.

Managing software and network infrastructure for virtualized environments.

Stay up-to-date with the latest networking technologies and trends.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

7 years of experience in network engineering or a related role.

Strong understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, routing protocols (e.g., BGP, OSPF), and switching technologies.

Experience with firewall configuration and management (e.g., Cisco ASA, Palo Alto Networks).

Experience with VPN technologies (e.g., IPsec, SSL VPN).

Experience with system administration of Linux.

Experience with virtualization and containerization (e.g., VMware, KVM, Docker).

Familiarity with network monitoring and management tools.

Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Preferred qualifications & skills:

Relevant industry certifications (e.g., Cisco CCNA, CCNP, CompTIA Network+).

Experience with cloud networking (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).

Experience with high-speed NAS/SAN Storage networks.

Experience with network automation tools and scripting (e.g., Python, Ansible).

Knowledge of network security best practices and compliance standards.
