Our client, a global law firm, is seeking associates (Class of 2020-2023) for their IP Technology and Transactions Group.
Billable Hours- 1800
Schedule- Hybrid 4 days in office, Friday remote
Qualifications:
2–5 years of experience (class years 2020–2023) at a major law firm, ideally in:
-Technology transactions
-IP licensing
-M&A involving IP assets
-Commercial contracts related to software, SaaS, data privacy, or AI
Exposure to IP due diligence, especially in the context of venture capital, M&A, or IPO transactions, is a big plus.
Undergraduate or advanced degree in STEM (science, technology, engineering, or mathematics) is highly valued but not always required.
Strong contract drafting and negotiation skills, especially for complex commercial and tech-related agreements.
Understanding of IP rights (patents, copyrights, trademarks, trade secrets).
Familiarity with data privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA) is beneficial.
Ability to work across practice groups and collaborate in cross-border transactions.
Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
Active member of the California Bar (this is a must)
