Apollo Technical has an immediate need for a Product development Engineer with a Mechanical Background in the Atlanta GA area
This is a full time direct hire position with an excellent benefits package
Overview:
Possess a strong foundation in mechanical engineering principles and be adept at utilizing various engineering tools and software.
This role involves designing, developing, and testing mechanical systems and components, ensuring they meet the required specifications and standards.
Duties:
Design and develop mechanical systems and components using SolidWorks CAD software.
Create detailed schematics and technical documentation for manufacturing processes.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure project requirements are met on time.
Utilize tools such as Arduino and LabView for prototyping and testing.
Conduct simulations using Simulink to analyze system performance.
Perform Finite Element Analysis (FEA) to validate designs against stress and strain criteria.
Implement (GD&T) design standards
Manage project scheduling to ensure timely completion of engineering tasks.
Provide mechanical knowledge support during the production phase to resolve any issues.
Skills:
BSME Mechanical Engineering or related degree
Minimum 5-7 years+ experience
Prior experience in product development.
SolidWorks design and specification experience
Interfacing with manufacturers to support product production.
Experience working on designs where there is extreme thermal cycling.
Knowledge of materials commonly used in high heat and caustic environments is a plus.
Experience with ceramics is a big plus
