The Opportunity:

CACI is seeking an Unmanned Vessel Linux Systems Administrator to support the Naval Surface Warfare Center Carderock Division (NSWCCD) in Norfolk, VA. The position will manage the software on multiple unmanned surface vessels and will ensure the performance and function of the vessels is consistent and maintained. In addition, the position also involves looking for methods to improve the configuration management process. We are seeking a motivated individual with the ability to influence decisions and effectively communicate across various functions.

Responsibilities:

Manage the software configuration of several Linux based computers

Provision computers and manage the network configuration

Improve and maintain the cyber security posture

Develop methods to automate monitoring and updating of the software configuration of these computers

Qualifications:

Required:

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or other related degree

0-5 years of experience in software configuration management

Red Hat Certified System Administrator certification

Experience with Red Hat Kickstart and Ansible provisioning

Experience with Linux shell scripting, such as Bash

Understanding of Python and C++ programming languages

Experience managing network configuration across Linux operating systems

Expertise in Linux firewall configuration and network management

Experience with Linux STIGs and scanning tools, documenting STIG findings and justifications

Must be a U.S. citizen

Desired:

2+ years of experience in software configuration management

Red Hat Certified Engineer certification

Experience with container (docker/podman) network management

The proposed salary range for this position is: $57,500-$117,900
